He is currently teaching media industry and media management at Pukyong National University. Prior to this appointment, he was in charge of research and external communication at NAVER, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Indiana University in the United States. He received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in media and communication from Korea University.
Main research area
He is interested in new types of media and technologies, and is conducting research on platform business, media competition and cooperation from an ecosystem perspective. Recently, he is researching infotainment systems of autonomous vehicles and the global webtoon platforms, and analyzing the impact of technology on social changes and individuals.
